Utulivu: The Stillness Sculpture

Utulivu is the Swahili word for calm, and she carries it in every line. Her eyes are closed, her hair is swept up, and one hand is lifted with effortless grace. Light your incense and the smoke curls around her face and neck, slow and soft, as if she’s breathing the whole day away.

She’s a celebration of Black beauty in sculpted resin, with a glossy, deep-toned finish and fine detail in the lashes, brows, and lips. She’s an ornament and an incense burner in one, so she looks as striking unlit on a shelf as she does mid-ritual.

She arrives in her own carton with foam padding, ready to give to someone who deserves a moment of peace. That someone could be you.

Set her on a desk, a bookshelf, or a nightstand, light your incense, and exhale.
